FlareX Application Companion

Last Updated: October 22, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how FlareX ("the App"), developed by Ankrypt ("we", "us", or "our"), treats user information. FlareX is an independent utility application designed to act as an intuitive mobile wrapper/interface allowing users to monitor and interact with their Cloudflare accounts and dashboards via Cloudflare's official REST APIs.

2. Zero Personal Data Collection

We believe privacy is a fundamental human right. Under FlareX:

  • No User Account: You do not register for a FlareX account or provide us with your name, phone number, or email address.
  • No Third-Party Analytics: The App contains no tracking SDKs, telemetry frameworks, or event trackers (e.g., no Firebase Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Facebook SDK).
  • No Server-Side Intermediaries: We do not operate proxy servers or relay servers that inspect, route, or log your Cloudflare data. Communication is established directly between your client device and Cloudflare's official servers.
  • No Advertising: FlareX does not incorporate Google AdMob, Unity Ads, or any other third-party advertisement networks. No advertising identifier is tracked or collected.

3. How Credentials and API Tokens are Handled

To interact with your Cloudflare dashboard and resources (such as DNS records, SSL settings, caching rules, and analytics), FlareX requires your Cloudflare API Key or API Token (scoped Bearer token):

  • Local Storage Only: All API credentials, tokens, and preferences you enter are stored strictly locally on your device within secured sandbox storage (such as Android EncryptedSharedPreferences / KeyStore).
  • Never Transmitted to Us: Your API tokens and authentication keys are never dispatched to Ankrypt or any third-party infrastructure.
  • Transmission to Cloudflare: Your credentials are sent over industry-standard encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections directly to Cloudflare's official endpoint (https://api.cloudflare.com/client/v4/) solely to authenticate and fulfill your requests.

4. Third-Party Service: Cloudflare, Inc.

Because FlareX is essentially a client interface wrapper for Cloudflare's ecosystem, all information accessed, updated, or retrieved through the App is processed by Cloudflare, Inc.

When using FlareX, you are interacting directly with Cloudflare's infrastructure. Consequently, your data, domain configurations, and traffic statistics are subject to Cloudflare's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

We strongly advise and ask all users to visit and review Cloudflare's official legal terms before using the App:

5. Device Permissions

FlareX requests only standard operational permissions required for internet communication:

  • android.permission.INTERNET: Essential to communicate directly with Cloudflare's API servers.
  • android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Enables the app to verify active internet connectivity prior to sending API queries.

6. Security Best Practices for Users

To maintain the security of your Cloudflare infrastructure when using FlareX:

  • Always utilize scoped API Tokens (with the minimum permissions required, e.g., read-only for analytics or DNS-edit only for specific zones) rather than your Global API Key.
  • Secure your mobile device with biometric locks or strong passcodes.
  • If you ever misplace your device, you can instantly revoke the token directly from your Cloudflare dashboard under My Profile > API Tokens.

7. Children's Privacy

FlareX does not target and is not intended for use by minors under the age of 13 (or under 18 where applicable). No information is collected from any users, regardless of age.

8. Policy Updates

We may periodically update this policy if new features or technical paradigms are introduced. The revised version will always be posted with a revised date at the top of this page.
